50,000 – 75,000 SHU
This one has been named the Black Piquin perhaps because like the original red variety the Spanish call it pequeño meaning small. It is a chilli that is not only a stunning black before it ripens but also has a very unique black speckled foliage. It is a compact growing plant getting to approximately half a meter tall. Like it’s red namesake the flavour is citrusy and a little nutty. Fruit grow to 1.5cms tall by 0.5cm’s wide or smaller and would be great smoked or to heat up any dish. For those who love black chillies this is one for the collection.
