Solar Flare- Space Chilli (HJ 3)
C.Annuum
5,000 – 10,000 SHUThe Solar Flare is out of this world for size and colour. It’s become one of our favourite Space Chillies. With its neon yellow fruit growing up to 20cms long it’s a real stand out in the garden. It has a medium fleshed wall that is juicy and sweet but not screaming hot, making it a good all rounder in the kitchen. If you’ve grown the other Space Chilli Varieties you just simply have to add this to your collection.
Check out our range of other Space Chillies here.
“For many decades work has been going on by the Chinese who have been sending seeds into orbit on satellites exposing them to zero gravity. It has become apparent that the trip into space is creating higher yields, bigger produce, and an increase in the levels of nutrients in the resulting fruit.”

Vampire
C.Annuum
Approx. 15,000 SHUSo after growing the Count Dracula chilli how could we resist growing the Vampire. It is just as striking with the fruit also going from a deep black to green and then a BLOOD red…It has the typical annuum characteristics as it’s super easy maintenance/growing whilst pumping out pod after pod all season long. The foliage gets black too if you give it full sun which makes it even more of a growing temptation. Taste wise you wont be disappointed as the Vampire fruit are medium thick walled with a sweet and juicy tang that’s only moderate in heat. Pods on average are about 6cm long and 2 cm wide with the plant growing about a meter in a pot.

WAL 7
C. Chinense
1,500,000 SHUThe WAL 7, or Wicked Ass Little 7 pot is one of the greats from the stable of the famous Butch Taylor. It’s a cross of a 7 pot Jonah and the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T, so we knew it was bound to be ridiculously hot…..and we were not disappointed! While having a classic, fruity 7 pot flavour, it also has enough heat to make you question why you would even GROW a chilli that could make SATAN cry like a baby! Ironically enough, that is exactly WHY we love to grow it! Another one for the “I must be mad” list. Just do it.

Weapon X
C. Chinense
Approx 600,000 – 800,000 SHUBig, gnarly and mega hot the Weapon X is a cross from Western Australian grower Graeme Chaplin (Chappy). All that is known is that one of the parents are thought to be a Trinidad Scorpion Butch T. Interestingly the ones we grew in pots only grew to about 60cm tall and the pods were around 6cm x 4 cm. Good on you ‘Chappy’ this one is a ripper and quite sweet for a superhot. It’s stability is unknown so have a go and see what you get.
