7 Pod Burgundy
C.Chinense
800,000-1000,000 SHUAnother extremely hot and good looking 7 pod chilli pepper. If you can get past the heat to taste the flavour this one has an almost caramel honey like twist. The sweetness can be tasted immediately and the heat slowly builds until numbness of the tongue sets in… Very different variety, in that it has the traditional 7 pod aroma but not the usual taste.

7 Pod Caramel
C. Chinense
800,000 – 1,000.000 SHU
This one comes highly recommended by us. One of the sweetest super hot chilli peppers around without the overwhelming floral taste of other chinenses. The oil just drips from it when cut open making you think twice about eating it. It has a very thin fruit wall which makes it perfect for drying but we think it would make a great sauce. Plant gets fully loaded with fruit that mature from light green to a deep caramel.

7 Pot Barrackpore
C. Chinense
1,000,000 – 1,350,000 SHUThe 7 pot Barrackpore is one of the hottest of the Trinidad 7 pot types and, as we know, the 7 pots sure pack a punch. It is named after Barrackpore, a town in India and those guys sure know how to grow super hot chillies With these ones coming in around 1,000,000 – 1,350,000 SHU I can guarantee you will never accidentally eat one! It’s not a very old strain and the shape is a little unstable but we think ours is the best shape ever!

7 Pot Barrackpore (Chocolate)
C.Chinense
1,000,000 – 1,350,000 SHUThe 7 pot Barrackpore chocolate was given to us by a friend – we grew it out and just loved the shape, colour and waxy sheen. The pods are huge some growing to 8cm long and 6cm wide. We don’t have any background on this one other than it is said to be a natural variant of the Red Barrackpore. The original red variety is named after Barrackpore, a town in India. We are not sure of the strains stability but we will continue to grow this one ourselves into the future and see how it goes.

7 Pot Congo SR Gigantic Brown
C. Chinense
Approx. 1,000,000 SHUThe 7 Pot Congo SR Gigantic Brown. That’s quite a mouthful and so is this great chilli! The pods from this bush are very large and very prolific. With that usual rich and earthy flavour that a lot of the brown super hots have, it will be more than enough for warming your food up to the level of “Am I the only one mad enough to eat this?” So with all the pods you have left over you can make your amazing chilli powder to amuse your friends…. Fun for almost everyone! This chilli is still quite rare and we are lucky enough to be one of a very few that have it.

7 Pot Congo SR Gigantic Mustard
C. Chinense
800,000 – 1,000.000Whoa this is a damn big one with the pods getting on average to just under tennis ball size! A variation on the 7 Pot Congo Gigantic Red we got the mustard coloured variety from a friend who had been growing them for a couple of seasons. It does have a distinctive 7 Pot flavour however as like a lot of other mustard coloured chillies it is smoother and sweeter on the palate. A real chilli growers collectors item as this is a very rare one indeed.

7 Pot Congo SR Gigantic Red
C. Chinense
800,000 – 1,000.000The 7 Pot Congo bush grows some really big pods and lots of them. They just look like a huge Reb Hab and are very hot. Honestly, maybe not the best tasting 7 pot fresh but would probably make a great sauce. SR stands for a lady named Sara who shares many varieties from Trinidad with the world.
