Beaver Dam
C. Annuum
1000 – 2000 SHU
The Beaver Dam pepper is a Hungarian heirloom variety and was brought to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 1912 by the Hussli family. It produces large amounts of mild to medium heat, horn shaped fruit on compact plants and they can grow up to 150mm long! They have a sweet, dynamic pepper flavour with a slow-building heat. We really like this one for your every day chilli and the kids will love it too! Perfect for stuffing, in traditional goulash, sliced in a salad, on a burger or for awesome pickled peppers. This chilli is extremely well known in the U.S. There is even a “Beaver Dam” Festival! It’s about time we spread the SWEET pepper goodness!
