She’s sleek and sexy and the French agree. Its held in high regard and vastly cultivated in the French commune of Espelette – where it gets it’s name. It is said to have originated from Central and South America and was introduced into France during the 16th century. Taste wise it is a winner for its peppery smooth sweetness. Pods get up to 10cms long and 3cms wide and the plants grows to just under a meter. We just love these fresh but imagine that they would be great eaten any old way. This is sure to be a family favourite as it’s mild enough for the kids.
